Definitely an iconic landmark and stunning architecture. Old or new, it is the hottest topic in the town now.
During my show flat hopping last week, i visited four show flats. One Pearl Bank is one of them and Huttons is also one of the marketing agencies.
To be honest, i was skeptical at the beginning. I wonder why the developer would want to keep the same concept as the old Pearl Bank Apartment. But, that's the reason why it is so iconic right? CapitaLand is the developer.
Show flat's design is very welcoming. A very big space after you walk in where you will be greeted by the agency receptionist. After that you will see a super big and tall scaled model. What impressed me the most at first is the the model of Opulus Sky.
When i first looked at it, I immediately imagined myself holding a party at my condominium private function room at 39th storey with stunning city view at night, with some fireworks. All the guests were wowed by the everything, especially skybridges which link the two towers.
The gym is at 39th storey as well, how good is that! There are many other sky gardens as well.
The first show unit I viewed the one-bedroom type. It is 570sqft type and very spacious, i would say. I like the colours they chose, it lift up the cosiness. The tile's colour is my favourite. Don't know why, i felt that the master bedroom is bigger (than other projects). I like the study corner very much. Alternatively, you can place a piano, build more storage & display cabinets etc, depends on your needs. Living room, dining and kitchen are spacious as well. Oh ya, you must see the 2-bedroom show units. The master bedroom is HUGE! Order a super king sized bed now! Check out the basin also.
One thing to take note: The shape of the units at One Pearl Bank. Some people may don't like it. You know it is curvy and you might be worried about the weird placement of furniture. Luckily, i did not have that kind of feeling much after i viewed the show flat. But you can definitely see the curve at 3-bedroom show units along the hallway to the bedrooms. Other than that, i think it is fine.
How about the location? Located in the city but tranquil environment yet near to MRT, CBD, full amenities in Tiong Bahru, Outram and Chinatown etc, stunning view, beside Pearl's Hill City Park. What else? Near Singapore General Hospital & research campus, CBD if you buy for investment.
